I’m moving to LiquidWeb this week.
I’ve been with DreamHost for more than 15 years. I’ve mainly used their VPS services. I was also with them before I came back 15 years ago back when I used shared hosting.
Why am I leaving DreamHost?
Because they’re not what they used to be. They used to give you great support and help you solve your problems.
Now, they tell you that you have to do everything and send you to support documentation pages that are mainly outdated. For an expensive managed VPS hosting service, they sure don’t want to offer any sort of special support.
I think their support is worse than any other support I’ve ever request from any of service online.
It’s a scary day because of the change, but it’s exciting because of the change.
I’m moving to LiquidWeb because I’ve known about them for 15+ years. They’ve always had a great reputation, and they’ve been extremely helpful during this whole process.
After I get everything migrated over, I’ll definitely create a follow-up post on my experience with them.
I just wish DreamHost would have done better.
