How to

get New Blog Followers

when you’re just starting

your blog!

You’ve just started your brand new blog. You’ve created some articles. Now you’re looking to get some new blog followers for your content. In reality, this is one of the most overwhelming aspects of starting a new blog – getting the first followers.

You’re not alone. Every new blogger goes through this critical stage.

The trick is to keep consistently writing to take your mind off the overwhelming mechanism.

And while you keep writing, you also keep showing others that will find you how much of an expert you are in your niche.

Write as much as you can but be consistent about when you post.

And feel free to follow the tips below to help you get your first new blog followers.

Write More Content to Get New Blog Followers

As I stated above, content matters.

You must keep writing more and more and more new content to get new blog followers. It matters because that’s what people are looking for.

But there are two goals when you’re writing content, no matter who you are.

BE CONSISTENT – I recommend you write every day. If you can, write several articles a day. Now I’m not saying post once a day. I usually post 1 to 2-times a week. But if you write every day, you have plenty of content waiting to be posted 1 to 2-times a week or however you plan to post. To be effectively consistent, you should stay ahead of the game.

QUALITY MATTERS – You must be creating quality content. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, again and again. But you need to stop, reread it, and take it in. Quality content is what gets you new blog followers in 2022 and beyond. There is SO MUCH competition online that you have to step up your game and deliver the best content you can. And you need to give that content away for free and be okay with it.

Get Followers by Building Relationships

There are many different methods of finding people with whom to build relationships. But first, I’d recommend looking at your competition to figure out where those people are.

Are they mainly on social media? Are they primarily on blogs? Maybe even old-school message forums? Find out where your audience is by researching your competition. And while you’re at it, look at how your competition builds relationships and decides what is working and what is not working. This will help your relationship-building process go smoother.

Anytime I build a relationship with someone, I see it as making a new friend. It would help if you also practiced this. That’s how you find loyal followers. You befriend them and develop that friend into a BFF. Best Friend Forever. Your friends are going to follow your blog.

Friendship building requires you to be active about it. Daily friendship development should occur even if that means you’re liking and commenting on their stuff each day.

But the trick here is finding out how you can build relationships like a friend would rather than a salesperson trying to get a customer because your potential new blog followers will likely be able to detect that quickly.

Get More Blog Followers by Developing Expertise

The more people see you as an authority, the more people will come to your blog.

The more you know, the more people will come to your blog.

You’ll get new blog followers if they know you as the expert in your niche market.

But how do you become an expert as a new blogger? Easy but not easy! You have to work your tail off. I hope that doesn’t discourage you, but the internet is competitive, like I said before. To even be noticed in the competition, you have to work for it.

One great way to achieve expertise noticeability is to give away more than you sell. Create the best content you can and give it away. Create the best possible content you can make and give it away. Make your content a work of art. That is how you will be noticed.

New bloggers that implement the strategies above will have no problem finding new blog followers. Being a new blogger shouldn’t be a bad thing. Your first couple of years should be about finding your natural blogging curve and embracing it.
