I don't care if someone is new and really don't care if you like me or not. I think if you really do care and worry about it, then your looking for what your complaining of not wanting. There is always going to be a town that has its own people in it and don't like outsiders. Just stay the f!#K out of my way and I will not worry about you. I will be the safest one in your town. I will put the area I am in, In my best interest, and when I am gone. You will probably not have even noticed that I was there. If you did. Then, I would be the one that screwed up. Just cause you haven't made a name for yourself, post videos, photos, chase cross country, and so on and so forth, shouldn't matter. We all come from different walks of life, some live in the middle of tornado alley, some don't. Some have the money to chase all over and can afford all the fancy toys, some don't. Some chase for fame and fortune, while others chase for the fun of it or to save lives. And then there's the chasers who dress in black (referencing the movie Men in Black, and the anonymity) then there's the one who want to be known. There's those that can chase 7 days a week, others who work 7 days straight before a time off to chase. The true storm chasing community is one of proud people, one of acceptance, one that shouldn't matter how many storms you got, it's a Family. And just like any family, it shouldn't matter if you are a new born, adopted ,the grand parent, the cousin you never met, you are family, so treat each other like your family. And that's what will make you a true storm chaser, and a member of the family. Here’s my two cents…..

Are poorer folks in the chaser world not accepted over folks who can spend money left and right? It almost appears that way and if so, that my friends is what you call discrimination. Why on earth would someone want to be accepted by these kinds of people? No I am not pointing my finger at anyone in particular... hell some people think this is my opinions over a message forum and how its ran, lol, that is so funny that it was used as a response to jump the gun... No this is not about a particular person or websites, this is about those who try to belittle beginners or folks like me who don't get out much. I was simply trying to connect with others. I was as nice as I always was and still am but yet they took no interest in me and most would absolutely ignore me right in front of my face. However, anytime I was around a more popular chaser and interacting with them, these people would start talking to me like we are all buddies. Remember, my area has the all time worst tornado ever (1925 tri-state) so my area might as well be a tornado haven in a sense... the general idea behind my rantings is that these so-called "big wigs" are scaring the new people and beginners away because they feel they need to be accepted and I am trying to tell them otherwise. If I count local 'chasing' I have been at it for a long long time, since I was 4 or 5. I don't, however, and only count the time since I chased long distances. That was Oct 18, 2007 and on for me. I count this as my 4th season chasing. Chasers immediately seem to take exception when someone says they've been chasing 10 years, but never been heard of. There's nothing wrong with being a newbie. I still am a noob in a lot of respects. There's no club to join.
